Jewelry Care

GENERAL CARE AND KEEPING

Remove jewelry when bathing, exercising, sleeping, or cleaning. Always avoid excess moisture, and remember to store your pieces properly in an airtight container when you aren't wearing them. It is normal for metal to oxidize (or change color) with time and exposure to the elements, but contact with liquid or other substances can expedite this process.

STERLING SILVER AND BRASS

Gently polish with a jewelry polishing cloth to bring sterling silver and brass pieces back to their original state of lustre. Brass is commonly known to turn skin green. Different people have varying reactions to this type of metal. It is a chemical reaction to your particular skin, lotions, moisture (even sweat!) and/or other environmental factors. To slow this process, you can keep your brass pieces polished, away from moisture, and stored properly in an airtight container when you aren't wearing them. Another useful trick is to coat the inside of brass rings with clear nail polish.
